Jordan Spieth’s caddie spotted with different player before $20m PGA Tour event

Jordan Spieth’s caddie Michael Greller will be working for a different player this week.

Spieth is not in the field for the first PGA Tour event of 2025 at Kapalua because he did not meet the qualifying criteria.

He likely wouldn’t have been able to play The Sentry anyway given he is still recovering from wrist surgery.

It has not been revealed why Greiner is unavailable this week.

“Michael Greller has a new bag this week,” Martin posted on X on 31 December.

“He’s caddying for Max Homa at The Sentry. It’s just temporary.

But in any case his long-time looper has got a job for the week.

He has been drafted in to replace Max Homa’s caddie Joe Greiner, according to PGA Tour editorial lead Sean Martin.

“Greller’s boss, Jordan Spieth, isn’t in the field and Homa needed a temporary fill-in.

“His long-time caddie, Joe Greiner, is expected to return later in the West Coast swing.”
