One of the biggest names on the PGA Tour despite turning down a mega-money offer from LIV Golf, the American star has earned his fair share during his career
Rewind back to 2015, a 21-year-old Jordan Spieth was the hottest golfer on the planet having secured two victories, a second-place finish, and a tie for fourth in golf’s four major championships.
His scintillating form and wins at the Masters and US Open earned the youngster comparisons to the great Tiger Woods, and while he has not gone on to reach those dizzying heights, he has still emerged as one of his generation’s biggest stars. Two years removed from his major breakthrough, he added a third at the 2017 Open Championship.
The only one that has since evaded Spieth is the PGA Championship. But thanks to his talents it feels like a matter of when not if the American star will complete golf’s career Grand Slam.
He initially signed a ten-year deal with Under Armour in 2013, which has since been extended to 2029. One of the most recognizable figures in the game, it was no surprise to see Spieth play a role in Netflix’s fly-on-the-wall PGA Tour docuseries, “Full Swing.”
Spieth was the star of Episode 1 alongside his good friend and fellow Tour pro, Justin Thomas. The series proved a hit with sports fans after the Netflix cameras were able to capture arguably the most significant season in golfing history following the emergence of LIV Golf.
