Born in Macerata, Italy, to Jewish parents Sergio Giorgi and Claudia Gabriella Fullone, Camila’s tennis journey commenced at a local club at the tender age of 5. Her father, a Falklands War veteran, doubles up as her coach, while her mother is a notable fashion designer.
Giorgi’s career boasts notable victories at the 2013 US Open, Indian Wells Open, and Eastbourne International. In 2021, she clinched her biggest title at the National Bank Open, defeating Karolína Plíšková.
Known for her aggressive style, Giorgi is revered as one of the hardest hitters on the tour. Her powerful flat groundstrokes have led to victories against former world No. 1 players, showcasing her relentless game.
