Victory is Sweet Despite no medal, it looks like Nelly Korda accomplished her biggest goal in Paris

The 2024 Paris Olympics are a wrap. Scottie Scheffler claimed gold on the men’s side while Rose Zhang was the top American woman, finishing T8. Absent in the medal mix, however, was women’s World No. 1 Nelly Korda, who had a rollercoaster week at Le Golf National.

At times, she looked like the player that won six times in seven starts this spring, and at others—including her so-called “shank” coming down the stretch on Sunday— downright human. Korda finished the week just outside the top 20, but while she may not have accomplished her number-one goal on the course, she did off it, as evidenced by this tweet on Tuesday
