From Court to Controversy: The Mysterious Retirement of Camila Giorgi

Camila Giorgi has now become former professional tennis player from Italy.
Giorgi’s impressive tennis career spanned 18 years, during which she won four WTA singles titles, including the prestigious 2021 Canadian Open. She achieved a career-high ranking of world No. 26 in October 2018, thanks to her quarterfinal run at Wimbledon that year. Giorgi was known for her powerful flat groundstrokes and aggressive playing style.
However, Giorgi’s career took a surprising turn when she announced her retirement from professional tennis in May 2024, citing no specific reasons. Her final match was against world No. 1 Iga Swiatek at the Miami Open in March 2024, which she lost in straight sets.
After her retirement, Giorgi made headlines for controversies surrounding tax issues and unpaid rent, which she later denied. She has since transitioned into modeling and working as a tennis commentator.
