Last we saw Jordan Spieth he had to withdraw from an event for the first time in his PGA Tour career. Last month he pulled out of the Travelers Championship after playing 12 holes in the first round because of a neck injury, the first time he couldn’t complete an event in 297 starts.
He told the “Up and Adams Show” last week that he was back at full strength and would be ready to play in the British Open at Royal Portrush. When he does this week, he’ll be doing so for the first time as a father of three.
Jordan and his wife Annie had their first child, son Sammy, in November 2021. Daughter Sophie will turn 2 this September. Spieth turns 32 later this month. He’s ranked 48th in the world and has four top-10 finishes this year on the PGA Tour. He’s the 2017 British Open champion and tied for 20th place in 2019 when the championship was last at Royal Portrush.
