Jordan Spieth keeps himself busy despite Rocket Classic absence caused by ‘random’ injury

Jordan Spieth is making the most of his time off during his noticeable absence from the Rocket Classic.

The star golfer had to bow out in the middle of a tournament for the first time in his 297 PGA Tour starts last week, after a flare-up of his levator scapulae muscle during the initial round at the Travelers Championship.

Having to leave the course at TPC River Highlands prematurely, Spieth offered up a heartfelt apology to his fellow competitor Luke Clanton. Now, the 31-year-old has just a few weeks to get fit before The Open Championship, the season’s last major showdown.

But despite his abrupt departure from the Travelers Championship, Spieth seemed cheerful as he dropped by Brookhaven Country Club, the place where he spent his formative golfing years.
