Golfing superstar Rory McIlroy is reportedly building a new house in the UK, according to his Players Championship playoff rival J.J. Spaun.
The American golfer revealed details of a private conversation with the four-time major champion that took place during their time at TPC Sawgrass.
McIlroy emerged victorious in the rare playoff after Spaun’s approach on the 17th hole found water.
The pair apparently had ample time to chat throughout the tournament weekend, with McIlroy sharing his property plans.

“He’s super cool. We were talking about the UK. I know he’s Northern Irish, but I asked him if he ever hangs out in London,” Spaun told the Fore Play podcast.
“My wife has got a really good friend that lives out there and loves going there so over the last couple of years, we go on this little vacation in December to the Cotswolds.
