Has Nelly Korda gone back on vacation? The LPGA Tour stars are currently participating in the Asian leg of the season. The three-event tour kicked off at the 2025 Honda LPGA Thailand which concluded on 24th Feb 2025. Fans witnessed Angel Yin dominate the Old Course at the Siam Country Club to pick up a big win. Apart from Akie Iwai, no one else on the field was able to get close to Yin over the weekend.
Now the LPGA Tour is moving to Singapore for the HSBC Women’s World Championship. The tournament will be played from February 27 to March 2, 2025. The tournament will see the return of some big names on the course like Lydia Ko and Charley Hull. Both the stars were missing from the field at the 2025 Honda LPGA Thailand. However, there is one name that has still not appeared in the lineup, and that’s Nelly Korda.
Yes, the world no. 1 has not traveled to Asia for the LPGA Tour events this year. But fans might not be surprised as Korda had already shared her plans for the season in advance. During a press conference for the 2025 HGV Tournament of Champions, she mentioned, “I won’t be going to Asia this year”. Korda had explained how she wanted to have a lighter schedule this year and skipping the Asian leg was a part of that plan. So what has she been up to during this short break? Well, apparently, she’s channeling her inner Charley Hull during this period.
Nelly Korda shared a couple of Instagram stories showing off her exercise routine while she’s away from the LPGA Tour. One of the stories had a video of her sweating it out on the treadmill with the caption “Intervals to start my Sunday”. Another had a picture of her large collection of dumbbells with “Sundays with @nikestrength” written on it. Korda plans on pulling out all the stops before returning to action in the next few weeks.
