Christmas is here, and it comes bearing gifts! However, it seems the fans of the Saudi-backed league are not happy with the presents that are on the way. And now, TaylorMade appears to have taken the brunt of the damage in the community, as a few ardent followers of LIV Golf decided to poke the company after its latest social media update.
The equipment manufacturers decided to upload a post on the internet in a bid to welcome the Christmas season, along with a bunch of professionals in the game, including Nelly Korda, Charley Hull, and others. However, what followed was nothing short of an argument between the fans as one of them took a not-so-subtle jab at the same, all the while bringing the Greg Norman-led circuit into the mix!
The Golf Company shared a video on its Instagram handle as part of the festival while wishing a “Merry Christmas” to the golf community. However, the post that was made went ahead to surprise many in the community as it included the likes of Nelly Korda, and Scottie Scheffler, among other LPGA Tour and PGAT pros such as Collin Morikawa and Tommy Fleetwood.
The video showcased the group of athletes dressed up as elves for Santa Claus. Moreover, the father of Christmas was spotted monitoring his elite lineup of underlings made up of professional golfers. Surprisingly, the elves were busy with their job of readying the gifts, including the likes of golfing gear, and packing them in colorful presents. An amusing yet heartwarming sight to see!
However, a certain LIV Golf fan did not find it as amusing as the rest. What’s more, he went ahead to criticize the company and sarcastically reacted to how the manufacturer portrayed the LPGA stars, including Charley Hull, Nelly Korda, and Brooke Henderson, in the video since they did not have any pros from the Middle Eastern circuit. Women’s representation, as per him, had been substituted for the LIV stars’ appearance!
