Jordan Spieth underwent surgery to resolve his wrist injury last month. The 31-year-old, who had complained of issues for several months, went straight into the treatment after his season ended at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Following this, the golfer has now come out to reveal that he will be ready for the new season by January 1, 2025.
Spieth made his first public appearance after the surgery on Monday when he attended a charity event in Dallas. Speaking at the event, the 2015 Masters champion said his goal is ‘to be tournament-ready’ by the new year. The 13-time PGA Tour winner added that he won’t be happy testing the waters by then and would rather want his game to be at the ‘ceiling’ by then.
The golfer further said that he’ll soon begin light practice and use his time off to get into pace before making the big comeback.
Discussing his potential comeback, Jordan Spieth said, as quoted by Golfweek:
“I think that by 2025, by Jan. 1, it’s my goal to be tournament-ready. And for me, that would be not just going out and seeing how it feels, you know, but expecting to play at my ceiling. I’ll have an opportunity to work really hard on my short game before I can even swing.
