Tennis player in RG called to attention for clothing

Italian tennis player Camila Giorgi was warned by the chair umpire for wearing a dress with a larger advertising logo than allowed at Roland Garros.

The garment had the DeLonghi kitchen appliance brand printed on it and the umpire recommended that the player change her dress, and she replied that it was the only one she had and that she had played in it before.

According to the rules, the clothes worn by tennis players during tournaments can only show a small part of their sponsorships.

Finally, the chair umpire allowed Giorgi to play in the same outfit, although he indicated that he would speak with the organization.
This happened in the Third Round match against Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, on May 28.
