The high school sweethearts got engaged in 2017, and they quietly wed less than a year later. In November 2021, Spieth and Verret welcomed their first child, Sammy. Their second child, Sophie, arrived in September 2023.

Verret has been supportive of the golfer’s career, even giving Spieth needed space during the 1,351-day drought between his wins at the 2017 Open Championship and the 2021 Valero Texas Open. Spieth attended Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, and Verret graduated from nearby Ursuline Academy. The golfer shared photos on Instagram including one snap, where the couple stand together in front of a stage. In the picture, Varret wearsin a multi-colored gown featuring black feathers while Spieth wore a blue suit.
