The rumor of a possible comeback for Lindsey Vonn is causing a stir in the ski world. The US-American is now fueling this herself.
“Every day is a victory! I’m proud of how far I’ve come on this journey of life. I have experienced many ups and downs, but nothing has ever broken my spirit. I thank my mother for that,” writes Vonn in a snapshot showing the former ski queen taking an ice bath.
She repeatedly struggled with injuries during and after her career. In spring 2024, she received an artificial knee joint. “With this new knee, which is now a part of me, I feel like a whole new chapter of my life is unfolding before my eyes,” says Vonn. Is she hinting at a possible comeback? There is a lot of guesswork in the winter sports world.
Numerous successes
The former speed dominator, overall World Cup winner, two-time world champion and Olympic champion completed her last race to date in February 2019 at the World Championships in Aare, Sweden.
