Nelly Korda is the preeminent force in women’s golf right now, and her domination has received backing

The 25-year-old American won five straight events, including the Chevron Championship – the first major of the year – between January and April 2024.

This sequence catapulted Korda into exalted company, with Nancy Lopez (1978) and Annika Sorenstam (2004-05) the only other LPGA players to have won five tournaments in succession.

Maja Stark, who finished joint runner-up to Korda at Carlton Hills, and Andrea Lee both believe that Korda’s brilliance should be celebrated as it is raising the profile of women’s golf.
