One of the days every golf lover waits for is Wednesday of the Masters week, wherein the Georgian greens uphold one of its sweetest traditions, the Par-3 contest. Since 1960, the tradition has seen some of the sweetest memories being created on the Augusta National Golf Course, As the golfers grace the greens alongside their family members for a fun-filled day, before they gear up for the competition ahead.
This year’s Par -3 contest saw many iconic moments, whether it be Bryson DeChambeau making a slam dunk par at the Yellow Jasmine (8th hole), or the aces that were carded by Gary Woodland, Viktor Hovland, and Sepp Straka, to name a few. However, it was Rickie Fowler who lifted the glass trophy in the end. But it appears Fowler’s spotlight was taken away from him by his own daughter Maya Fowler, and her partner in crime was Jordan Spieths‘s son, Sammy Spieth, whose cuteness won over the patrons and the netizens as well.
PGA Tour took their official Instagram account and shared a couple of adorable pictures of the two toddlers enjoying their time on the Augusta greens. The post’s caption read, “Bring your kids to work day ❤️” In the carousel, the first picture is of the two kids with big smiles on their faces as they donned the iconic white overalls. In the following picture, Sammy can be seen holding a club and trying to hit the golf ball. It wasn’t only his father but the onlookers too who were keenly invested in the toddler’s golf play. The last picture was of the 2024 Par 3 winner, in his girl-dad mode as his daughter also took up the clubs.
