Jordan Spieth is one of the best golfers in the world. He’s only 22 years old, but he’s already won two major championships, including last year’s Masters. It looked as though he’d be adding this year’s Masters to his list of accomplishments. He had a five stroke lead entering the back nine. Then things got rough for him. He bogeyed the tenth and eleventh holes. Not great, but certainly not a disaster. Bogeys happen. But then the twelfth hole, the wheels came off the wagon, when Spieth had not one, but two shots find the water.
This is what disaster looks like. Spieth would finish 12 with a quadruple bogey. This opened the door for Englishman Danny Willett to walk away the champion.
Now in most sporting events, Jordan Spieth could quickly go to a bar to drink away the pain of the day, but the Masters is “a tradition unlike any other” so that’s not an option. Instead, as the defending champ, Spieth had to join Willett in Butler Cabin and present him with the champion’s green jacket. It was awkward.

But that wasn’t all. Spieth actually had to present Willett with the jacket twice. Once in Butler Cabin and once for the crowd at the course.
