Is Bryson DeChambeau Teetotaller? The Shock ‘Milk’ Challenge With John Daly Hides the Truth

As you would guess, when John Daly is around, Bryson DeChambeau engaged in a drinking bout. The major winning duo teamed up for the former’s ‘Break 50’ series on YouTube. With Daly, you can’t rule out alcohol. Unless you are the reigning U.S. Open Champion.

“I’ve broken a lot of things, but I never broke 50,” Daly, barefooted, said, standing beside DeChambeau, also barefooted. The 58-year-old was with a can of beer in his hand. DeChambeau, 30, had a jerry can of… milk to complement his playing mate.

Chocolate milk and DeChambeau are as synonymous as Daly is with Good Boy Vodka. But the unexpected appearance of a jerry can of milk, against the expected, can of beer or whiskey has sparked some rumors: the Crushers captain is a teetotaller.

It has some merit. After all, the LIV Golfer did say after his first Major win in 2020, “I’ll party, but I won’t drink. It’s just not my style.” Well, he is no John Daly, but Bryson DeChambeau does like to let his hair down occasionally. And, he is a wine connoisseur.

“I’m a big wine guy. It was beautiful. Everyone drank out of it. I handed it around and it was a lot of fun,” DeChambeau said in the Pat McAfee show after the 2024 Pinehurst triumph. In fact, he can gulp down a glass of wine as easily as he can a protein shake. Remember him drinking from the U.S. Open silver trophy with Eric Trump?

The ‘People’s Champion’ also took part in ‘Shoey’ at Adelaide earlier this year. He downed—most likely beer—from his FootJoy kicks. ‘The Greatest Range Session of All Time,” Crushers posted the clip on their official YouTube channel. It went viral shortly thereafter.

Coming back to Daly, DeChambeau posted the clip on his Instagram handle, captioning, “John Daly is a specimen like no other, new episode of Break 50 dropping tomorrow.” The prospect of the two two-time major winner collaborating has sent fans into a wild frenzy. On top of it, Daly gifted something to DeChambeau that he might not ever use.
