Five of the best: Sam Kerr’s favourite Chelsea goals
After committing her future to the club for two more years, the next goal Sam Kerr scores will be her 100th for Chelsea. So out of the 99 so far, what goals stand out most for the Blues striker?
In her maiden FA Cup final for Chelsea, Kerr enjoyed a day to remember on our way to the trophy. It was a sign of what was to come at the national stadium as a Kerr brace helped the Blues to a 3-0 win over Arsenal.

Her second goal, which was the Blues’ third, was a moment which left those watching in awe. And Kerr admits the lofted effort over goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger even left herself impressed.

‘I found myself out wide and I don’t know what I was doing out there,’ said Kerr of the build-up to the goal. ‘I just saw Mellie (Leupolz) intercept the ball and I was off.

I knew I was levelling outside Catley. I knew if I took a big touch I’d be through on goal. I had so long to think about it, but I just remember hitting it and seeing it float over her head and thinking it was going to drop in.

‘You honestly dream about those goals. It was the first time after Covid that we’d played in front of such a big crowd. I would have done a backflip, but I was so tired!’
